Physiotherapy located inside Dynamic Motion Golf Performance. Each assessment will include a brief discussion to allow the opportunity to gain necessary information related to the purpose of the visit. This will be followed by a detailed physical assessment where things like posture, mobility, strength, and activity specific capacity will be examined. Each initial session will include treatment as well as the discussion of a plan of care to help you reach 100% of your goals. Follow up appointments are to carry out the discussed plan.

Mike Azzopardi

Prevention, rehabilitation, and performance form the cornerstone of Mike’s treatment approach. His focus lies in improving foundational movement patterns to improve energy efficiency and increase ease of movement. Coupling this with flexibility and a strong strength base, can bring performance to another level. Mike particularly loves to treat soccer players, runners, and golfers as well as any complex cases. He is passionate, dedicated, and strives to inspire others to achieve new heights.

Mike has completed his Masters of Physiotherapy at the University of Alberta in 2015 following a Bachelor of Science Honours Kinesiology with a Pre-health Option at the University of Waterloo. He has completed over 600 hours of additional course work since graduating which has led to certifications in advanced manual therapy, advanced trigger point dry needling, breathing techniques, communication as well as being Titliest Performance Institute certified.

Mike has played at the Canadian university level in the OUA. He has suffered a multitude of injuries resulting in ACL reconstruction and has experienced first-hand the ramifications of overtraining at a young age. This puts him in a unique position to really understand the rehabilitation process through the body as well as the mind.

He has previously worked at the University of Calgary in collaboration with the sports medicine team which has given him invaluable experience. Mike also works out of his home clinic in Mahogany as well as part time at PT Kinetics. With over 8 years of clinical experience as a registered physiotherapist (PT) with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta, and over 30 years of experience in a multitude of different sports Mike is ready to take on whatever challenge comes his way. Outside of the clinic he enjoys weightlifting and exploring movement in his home gym, running, golfing, hiking in the mountains, and travelling the world. Mike is a husband to his favourite adventure buddy, Diana, proud father of his baby boy Benji, and pawrent of an energetic cockapoo, Vida.
